Request For Proposal ~ Town Hall~ Structural Floor Supports

The Town of Salisbury invites proposals to raise the sagging floor and perform structural repairs to the carrying beams of the Salisbury Town Hall located at 645 Old Turnpike Road. Interested firms are required to complete a site visit before submitting a written proposal for the Town’s consideration.

We anticipate that this will require the selected contractor to complete the following tasks;

➢ Raise floor to remove sag in Town Hall.
➢ Install four new carrying beams the width of the building all of triple 2”x 10” pressure treated lumber.
➢ Install twenty-four, 24”x 24” x 8” footings under carrying beams.
➢ Install twenty-four, four-inch cement filled Lally columns under the carrying beams at the new footings.
➢ Any engineering and or permits to be provided and paid for at no cost to the building mover.
➢ Proposed time frame to do work is Fall of 2023 or Spring of 2024.
 

Proposals should be submitted to the Salisbury Selectmen’s Office located at 9 Old Coach Road, P.O. Box 214, Salisbury, N.H., 03268, by 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023 and will be reviewed by the Board of Selectmen on the following night. Hard copies should be in sealed envelopes and mailed to the above address. Proposals submitted electronically must contain “Salisbury Town Hall Structural Floor Supports” in the subject line of the email.

All proposals upon submission become the property of the Town of Salisbury. The expense of preparing and submitting a proposal is the sole responsibility of the applicant. The Town of Salisbury reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received, to negotiate with any qualified source, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this RFP as in the best interest of the Town of Salisbury. This solicitation in no way obligates the Town of Salisbury to award the bid.
