Transfer Station

SOLID WASTE COMMITTEE:

Meets the 4th Thursday of each month. Meetings at 7:00 PM located upstairs in the Town Office Building (Academy Hall).

The public is always welcome to attend.

Volunteers needed to help with recycling.

Located on Warner Road , two miles off Rte. 127, south of Rte. 4.

Open to Salisbury residents only.

Sticker available at the Transfer Station or at the Town Office

HOURS: Saturday 8:30 AM to 4 PM

Transfer Fees: Approved by Selectmen April 15, 2009

Effective: May 1, 2009

Please see attendant before depositing items.

Receipts must be issued so we may track the success of this program.

Console, flat screen and plasma televisions	$20.00
Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners	$10.00
Computer monitors and other televisions	$5.00
Microwave ovens	$5.00
Mattresses and box springs	$5.00
Sofas and other large upholstered furniture (sleep-sofas, chairs, recliners)	$5.00
Construction debris: Sliding scale depending on size of load and percentage of treated wood. Fee determined by attendant.	$

RECYCLING: EVERY SATURDAY Signs will be posted regarding the new charges and donation opportunities.

Please check with the attendants before disposal. Receipts are available.

Paper: Newspaper, cardboard, mixed paper, junk mail, magazines, phone books, anything CLEAN that rips. Please no juice or milk cartons.

Aluminum: Soft drink, beer and juice cans only. No pet food cans. Please rinse and crush. NO steel cans.

Plastic: All items with numbers 1 and 2 in the triangle underneath, including all soda and milk bottles. Also plastic bags, except black.

All containers must be empty. Please empty large bags of collected plastic.

Glass: All colors. Labels need not be removed. Please rinse and remove caps.

FLUORESCENT BULBS – Please see attendant.

Metal Pile: Clean metal only. No propane tanks, plastic or other materials.

White goods area: Household appliances

Burn pile: Clean, untreated wood only. No plywood, stained or pressure-treated wood. Brush up to 5” diameter.
